Report: Nets sign G Nwaba to 2-year deal

The Brooklyn Nets signed guard David Nwaba to a two-year deal, according to a report Sunday from The Athletic.

Nwaba, 26, averaged 6.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 51 games (14 starts) last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He shot 48.1 percent from the field.

The Nets will be Nwaba’s fourth team in as many seasons. He played for the Los Angeles Lakers as a rookie and the Chicago Bulls in his second season before moving on to the Cavaliers.

In 141 career games (37 starts), Nwaba is averaging 7.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
