NBA Recaps: Thomas’ 37 lead Celts past 76ers

PHILADELPHIA — Isaiah Thomas scored 37 points, including the go-ahead layup with 30.2 seconds left, as the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 107-106 Saturday night.

Thomas equaled his season high and fell one point short of his career high as Boston won for the third time in four games and the sixth time in eight. The Celtics defeated the 76ers for the nine straight time.

Avery Bradley added 20 points for Boston. Al Horford had 11, and Jae Crowder contributed 10.

Rookie forward Dario Saric equaled his career highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, which dropped its six straight. Ersan Ilyasova had 18 points for the Sixers, while Sergio Rodriguez and Jahlil Okafor had 15 each.

Raptors 128, Hawks 84

TORONTO — DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points, Kyle Lowry added 17 points and dished eight assists, and Toronto extended its winning streak to a season-best six games. It was the sixth loss in a row for the Hawks, who fell for the ninth time in 10 games.

The Raptors led by as many as 21 points during the first half, were ahead by 15 points at halftime and by 16 after three quarters before running away with the game in the fourth quarter.

Patrick Patterson added 17 points off the Raptors’ bench. Dennis Schroder and Tim Hardaway Jr. each scored 15 points for the Hawks, Dwight Howard had 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Timberwolves 125, Hornets 120 (OT)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Andrew Wiggins had 29 points while Karl-Anthony Towns collected 27 points and 15 rebounds as Minnesota snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Charlotte in overtime.

The Timberwolves used a spirited fourth-quarter comeback that began with a 10-0 run and a dominant overtime stanza to seal the victory.

Minnesota got 17 points from Zach LaVine and 12 each from Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica. Charlotte, who fell for the second time in three games, was led by Kemba Walker with 22 points. Frank Kaminsky chipped in 21 points, while Nicolas Batum had 15 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.

Bucks 112, Nets 103

MILWAUKEE — Matthew Dellavedova scored a season-high 18 points as the Milwaukee Bucks held off a furious comeback attempt by the Brooklyn Nets and extended their winning streak to a season-high four games with a 112-103 victory Saturday evening at the Bradley Center.

Dellavedova was one of six Milwaukee starters to score in double figures. All five starters scored at least 10 points with John Henson’s 20 leading the way. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 16 while Jabari Parker added 15 and Tony Snell had 10.

Bojan Bogdanovic had 24 to pace Brooklyn, which also got 19 from Sean Kilpatrick, 17 from Joe Harris and 13 from Brook Lopez.
