The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly will sign veteran forward Chuck Hayes, adding even more depth to one of the NBA’s top teams.
Hayes, 32, had been talking with the Houston Rockets, but that deal fell apart and he reached contract terms with the Clippers instead, Yahoo Sports reported Monday.
The 6-foot-6 Hayes gives the Clippers another big man behind Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. Hayes, known as a good defender and rebounder and solid locker-room guy, joins Josh Smith and Cole Aldrich in the rotation.
