Veteran big man Mike Muscala kept his commitment to the Oklahoma City Thunder, signing his new contract with the team on Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

Muscala had been given the option of backing out of his agreement after the Thunder agreed to trade Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Alec Burks, who had also agreed to terms with the Thunder, was given the same option and decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors instead.

Muscala, 28, has averaged 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per game over 307 games. He split last season between the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers and averaged 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds.

A second-round pick of the Dallas Mavericks in 2013, Muscala spent his first five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks before winding up in Philadelphia (via Oklahoma City) in the deal that sent Carmelo Anthony to Atlanta.
