Manu Ginobili reportedly re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, getting a one-year deal from the only team he has played for.

According to the Vertical on Yahoo Sports, Ginobili is returning to San Antonio on a contract that will pay him $14 million after the 38-year-old opted out of his $2.9 million contract to enter free agent.

Last week, Ginobili announced via Twitter that he was returning to the Spurs for a 15th season when he tweeted: ”Happy to tell you guys that I’ll be coming back to the Spurs for another season.”

Ginobili has averaged 14 points and has won four championships with San Antonio, which selected him 57th overall in the 1999 draft. Ginobili also is a two-time All-Star and won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 2008.

Last season, he averaged 9.6 points and 3.1 assists while playing 58 games as the Spurs posted a team-record 67 regular-season victories.

Ginobili’s re-signing occurred three days after forward Tim Duncan announced his retirement following a 19-year career. It also came on the same day that San Antonio officially announced the signing of 36-year-old forward Pau Gasol.
