The Toronto Raptors on Thursday signed center Jonas Valanciunas to a multi-year contract extension.
The team did not reveal details, but Yahoo Sports reported it is a six-year deal worth $64 million, with escalators that could make it worth $70 million.
“Jonas’ contributions continue to improve with each season and we view him as a significant part of what we are building in Toronto,” Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri said.
Valanciunas reportedly had taken a leave from his Lithuanian NT team to return to Toronto this week to complete negotiations. The two sides had until Nov. 1 to get a deal done.
The 7-foot Valanciunas, 23, averaged 12.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 2014-2015, his third year in the NBA.
