Free-agent wide receiver Kendall Wright signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced Monday.

Wright initially signed with the Cardinals on Oct. 8 before being released 10 days later with the team dealing with injuries at other positions.

The 28-year-old Wright led the Chicago Bears with 59 receptions for 614 yards and one touchdown last season. He signed a one-year, $4-million contract with the Bears after playing five seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

Wright was a first-round draft choice (20th overall) of the Titans out of Baylor in 2012. He caught 94 passes for 1,079 yards and two touchdowns in 2013, but hasn’t come close to those numbers since.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Wright has reeled in 339 receptions for 3,858 yards with 19 touchdowns in 82 career games.

Arizona hasn’t received much from its passing game, with star wideout Larry Fitzgerald dealing with injuries before coming on of late. Fitzgerald leads the team in receptions (34) and shares top honors in touchdowns (two) with rookie Christian Kirk, who has a club-best 410 receiving yards.

The Cardinals (2-6) have yet to defeat a team other than the NFC West-rival San Francisco 49ers this season. Arizona will attempt to break that streak on Sunday (1 p.m. ET) when they return from their bye to visit the Kansas City Chiefs (8-1).
