Former New Orleans Saints receiver Robert Meachem was released from jail on Thursday after three days of incarceration when he made a $100,000 alimony and child support payment to his ex-wife.

Judge Adrian Adams of Jefferson Parish’s 24th Judicial District Court in the New Orleans area had previously ordered the 32-year-old Meachem to pay 25 percent of the $400,000 owed to ex-wife Andrea Rhodes or face 30 days in jail.

Meachem and Rhodes separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2015 after six years of marriage. They share split custody of their two children.

Meachem played six of his seven NFL seasons with the Saints. He also played one season for the San Diego Chargers.

Meachem, who made more than $20 million in his NFL career, caught 178 passes for 2,914 yards and 27 touchdowns from 2008-14.
