James Bradberry – Noteworthy – Injury
CB James Bradberry missed a practice this week because of illness, but he was back the next day so there shouldn’t be an issue regarding his status to face the Lions.

Kawann Short – Noteworthy
DT Kawann Short is tied for the NFL lead among defensive tackles with 7.5 run stuffs this season. He shares the distinction with Detroit DT Damon Harrison Sr.

Kenjon Barner – Noteworthy – Transaction
RB Kenjon Barner was claimed on waivers by the Panthers from the Patriots Wednesday (Nov. 14). Barner played five games with the Patriots this season, totaling 71 rushing yards on 19 carries. He was with the Panthers throughout 2018 training camp and the preseason before being terminated on cut-down day. Barner won a Super Bowl with Philadelphia in 2017, as he played in 13 games with one start for the Eagles last season, rushing for 57 yards on 16 attempts. He had a career-best 129 yards rushing with two touchdowns for Philadelphia in 2016. A sixth-round draft pick by the Panthers in 2013, Barner played in eight games for Carolina in his rookie season.

Torrey Smith – Important – Injury
WR Torrey Smith suffered a knee injury last month against Philadelphia and missed three games. He has been back for some practice work this week on a limited basis, so it’s unlikely he’ll suit up for the Detroit game.
