Third-string quarterback Connor Shaw was placed on injured reserve by the Cleveland Browns.
Shaw had surgery on his right thumb in August. Offensive lineman Michael Bowie (shoulder) was also moved to the reserve-injured list by the Browns.
The team put three players on the reserve-non-football injury list: cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (knee), tight end Randall Telfer (foot) and running back Glenn Winston (knee).
Any player designated for the reserve/non-football injury list is eligible to return to practice anytime between weeks 6 and 11. Once the player returns to practice, he must be activated within three weeks or remain on the reserve list.
