Rookie quarterback Jameis Winston ran for a touchdown for the second consecutive preseason game, helping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 25-11 Monday in Tampa, Fla.

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans exited the game due to a hamstring injury that was not believed to be serious.

Winston led Tampa Bay 80 yards on eight plays to open the game, capping the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner wound up completing eight of 13 passes for 90 yards. He was sacked once, and the touchdown was his lone carry.

Mike Glennon replaced Winston and finished 10-for-15 for 121 yards with one touchdown pass.

Bengals starting quarterback Andy Dalton was picked off twice while going 6-for-13 for 46 yards. Cornerback Alterraun Verner returned one of the interceptions 24 yards for a second-quarter touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

The Bucs pushed the margin to 23-0 before Bengals kicker Tom Obarski made a 37-yard field goal late in the second quarter.

Tampa Bay linebacker Danny Lansanah recorded a fourth-quarter safety when he tackled Cincinnati running back Cedric Peerman in the end zone.

Bucs running back Doug Martin gained a game-high 59 yards on six carries, including a 30-yard run.

Bengals running back James Wilder Jr. scored on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter, then added a two-point conversion that completed the scoring.
