ATLANTA – Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee both left Sunday’s game with injuries.

Freeman left the game against Dallas early in the first quarter and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a head injury.

The team late announced Freeman has a concussion and would not return to the game.

Freeman was hurt on the Falcons’ first offensive play when tackled by linebacker Anthony Hitchens and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence after a 1-yard gain.

Freeman made his second straight Pro Bowl last season, rushing for 1,079 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 54 receptions for 462 yards and two touchdowns.

Coming into Sunday, Freeman had 512 yards and five touchdowns this season on 114 carries. He also had 19 catches for 137 yards.

Lee, a first-team All-Pro last year, left the game in the first quarter because of a hamstring injury and his return was listed as questionable.

Lee missed two games with a hamstring injury earlier this season and the Cowboys lost both games.
