The Pittsburgh Steelers made a trade aimed at slowing a revolving door at place-kicker, acquiring Josh Scobee from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Garrett Hartley, signed as a free agent to replace Shaun Suisham (ACL), was injured in Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Suisham tore his ACL in the preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Scobee is a career 80.8 percent kicker in 11 years in Jacksonville. He confirmed the trade to a Jacksonville sports radio station on Monday.

Rookie Jason Myers, 4 of 5 on field goals in preseason, become’s Jacksonville’s primary place-kicker.

He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2004 draft. Scobee was the longest-tenured player on the Jaguars’ roster and Jacksonville’s leader in field goals (235) and points scored (1,022). Scobee is in the final year of a four-year, $13.8 million deal.
