Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Chris Whaley is out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

Whaley, who had recovered from a college injury — torn ACL at Texas — that spoiled his rookie season in 2014, is expected to land on injured reserve.

He was carted off the field Monday during practice in Oxnard, Calif.

Whaley, Terrell McClain and Nick Hayden are sidelined with injuries for the Cowboys, who might need to look for defensive tackle help.
