The Denver Broncos activated safety Su’a Cravens from the Injured Reserve list on Friday and promoted wide receiver River Cracraft to the active roster from the practice squad.

To make room on the roster, the Broncos waived wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie.

The 6-1, 224-pound Cravens was acquired by Denver from the Washington Redskins and began the season on injured reserve because of a knee injury.

Cravens played 11 games, with three starts, for the Redskins as a rookie before spending last season on the Redskins’ exempt list. He was selected by Washington in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2016 draft out of USC.

As a rookie, Cravens totaled 33 tackles (23 solo), one sack, one interception and five passes defensed while playing safety and linebacker.

The 6-foot, 198-pound Cracraft signed with the Broncos last year as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State and spent the entire 2017 season and the first eight weeks of this season on the practice squad.

Cracraft was a three-year starter at Washington State, making 218 receptions for 2,701 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Mackenzie was a fifth-round pick (No. 172 overall) by the Broncos out of Georgia and in two seasons had four catches for 29 yards in addition to 246 total return yards.

On Sept. 10, 2018, McKenzie was waived by the Broncos and re-signed to the practice squad before being was promoted to the active roster on Oct. 25.
