Denver Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware will be sidelined from two to four weeks with a back injury, the NFL Network reported on Monday.
Ware injured his back for the second time this season during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. He leads the Broncos with 6 1/2 sacks.
“There’s concern,” Broncos coach Gary Kubiak told reporters. “I know he wasn’t feeling very good after the game at all and I talked to him via text, kind of bus-to-bus when we were coming from the airport back home, and he told me he was feeling better. But we start over today and we’ll have to see how much ground we can make up.”
Ware missed a game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. He then received more recovery time due to Denver’s bye week.
