–Ziggy Ansah suffered a setback in his rehab from a shoulder injury last week, when he sat out the Lions’ victory over the New England Patriots.

Initially, Ansah said he was optimistic that he wouldn’t miss anytime with the injury, but he’s now missed two straight games — the latter after going through a pre-game workout session for trainers — and was held out of practice Wednesday.

Ansah, who’s playing what’s likely his last season in Detroit, has one sack on 19 snaps this year.

“Ziggy’s great,” Patricia said. “He’s working extremely hard. He’s doing everything we’re asking him to do and I have the utmost respect for his work ethic and what he’s trying to do to help us in even all those situations.”

–Rookie left guard Frank Ragnow rebounded from two subpar performances to start his NFL career with a solid all-around game against the Patriots.

While offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter said Ragnow was going through the natural progression of a rookie offensive lineman, Ragnow said he’s found his comfort zone on offense after playing two games that “were not up to my standards at all.”

“I don’t think there’s any switch flipped or anything like that,” Ragnow said. “Just technique coming together and just being who you are, getting more comfortable as each day comes along and just got to keep adding onto it.”

BY THE NUMBERS: 70 — The number of games the Lions went without a 100-yard rusher, before rookie Kerryon Johnson snapped that streak last week against the Patriots. Johnson ran for 101 yards on 16 carries and hit the century mark on his final carry of the game, a 10-yard scamper late in the fourth quarter. Before Johnson accomplished the feat, the last Lion to rush for 100 yards in a game was Reggie Bush on Thanksgiving 2013.
