Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham suffered a broken thumb in the 27-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, but he might not miss any time.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Graham plans to play in Sunday’s road game against the Minnesota Vikings.
“I haven’t really got the trainer’s report, but I know he intends to go, that’s his intention,” McCarthy said Monday.
Asked how the broken thumb will affect Graham’s performance, McCarthy said, “There’s going to be a transition through the practice week and see different splints and things like that. You just have to work through it.”
Graham had just one reception for 13 yards against the Seahawks before the injury. For the season, Graham has 34 catches for 452 yards and two touchdowns.
He has been named to the Pro Bowl five times, including each of the past two seasons while with Seattle. Graham had 57 receptions for 520 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2017.
The Packers signed Graham as a free agent in March.
McCarthy’s report on defensive tackle Mike Daniels was not as favorable. McCarthy said Daniels will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks with a foot injury. Daniels has played in 10 games, including nine starts, and has recorded two sacks and 17 total tackles.
