Billy Brown – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE Billy Brown was signed by the Colts to the practice squad Thursday (Dec. 6). He had been released by the Eagles from the practice squad Nov. 13. Brown, 6-4, 255 pounds, participated in the Eagles’ 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during cuts to 53 players Sept. 1. Brown spent the entire 2017 regular season and postseason on Philadelphia’s practice squad. He originally signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017.
Je’Ron Hamm – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
TE Je’Ron Hamm was placed on practice squad/injured by the Colts Thursday (Dec. 6).Hamm, 6-3, 236 pounds, was signed to the Colts practice squad on Nov. 21. He participated in training camp with the Los Angeles Chargers before being waived during cuts to 53 players on Sept. 1. Hamm was claimed by the Chargers off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Aug. 13 after spending part of training camp with the Seahawks. In 2016, he spent time on the San Francisco 49ers’ active roster and practice squad. Hamm played in five games and caught two passes for 13 yards. He spent time on the Washington Redskins’ active roster and practice squad in 2015 but did not see game action. Hamm finished the 2015 season with the 49ers. As a rookie in 2014, he spent time on the Washington Redskins’ active roster and practice squad and saw action in one game. Hamm originally signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014.
