Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Charles has been recovering from a torn ACL suffered last October and missed all of training camp. He worked with the scout team in practice this week but is unlikely to play in Houston.
Starting offensive guards Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and rookie Parker Ehinger were declared out with injuries.
Duvernay-Tardif is sidelined with a high ankle sprain and Ehinger sustained a concussion in Wednesday’s practice.
Spencer Ware will start for Charles but he missed practice earlier this week with a sprained toe. Ware had 11 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown in the 33-27 overtime win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 1. He also caught seven passes for 129 yards.
