I’m starting to feel like the Saints with a record of 0-2 and wondering when I will win!

Of the five eligible H-Bomb games last week, two underdogs covered: Tampa Bay, plus 7.5 against the Giants and Arizona plus 13.5 (won outright) against New England.

Cleveland and Cincinnati pushed, while Jacksonville and Detroit failed to cover. I mentioned being tempted by Cleveland, and at least if I had gone that way, I would have tied instead of losing with the Jaguars.

Well, it’s on to this week, with four games that have spreads of 6.5 points or more: Chicago 7.5 over St. Louis; New Orleans 8.5 over Kansas City; San Francisco 7 over Minnesota and Dallas 7 over Tampa Bay in the Cowboys’ home opener. The Vikings are the lone home underdog.

The pick here is to drop the bomb on the Bears. The Rams are 2-0 against the spread and should keep this game close and potentially win. Plus, former Bears coach Mike Ditka, while criticizing Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan for his post-whistle antics, claimed that Finnegan isn’t a good football player. Right. Let’s remember that Ditka, the astute talent evaluator, while coach of the Saints traded all his draft picks one year for running back Ricky Williams.

Rams +7.5 is the pick.
