PLAYER NOTES

–S Jamal Adams was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday. Adams ranks first or is tied for first among safeties in sacks (3.5), forced fumbles (3), tackles for a loss (9) and quarterback hits (8), while also ranking in the top five in tackles (94) and passes defensed (12).

–KR Andre Roberts was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday. His 14.9 yards per punt return are the most in the league and he has eight returns of at least 40 yards with seven of those resulting in scores for the Jets.

–K Jason Myers was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday. Myers is 31 of 33 on field goals this season and his 53 touchbacks are the fifth-most in the league.

–WR Quincy Enunwa missed practice Wednesday with an ankle injury that kept him out of last week’s game.

–DB Darryl Roberts missed practice with a toe injury.

–LB Jordan Jenkins was limited in practice with an ankle injury.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: DE Henry Anderson. Anderson has appeared in each game but only started twice. Anderson, however, is second on the Jets with six sacks. He had three of QB DeShaun Watson last week and it was the first three-sack game by a Jet since Muhammed Wilkerson against Tennessee on Dec. 15, 2015. The Jets acquired Anderson from Indianapolis in the offseason for a draft pick. With the Colts, he totaled three sacks in 29 games in three seasons.

GAME PLAN: If the last two weeks are any indication, quarterback Sam Darnold is developing some chemistry with wide receiver Robby Anderson. In the last two weeks, Anderson has 11 catches for 172 yards along with two touchdowns and often appears open when Darnold targets him. When not going to Anderson, Darnold can use short passing plays to running backs Trenton Cannon and Elijah McGuire, who combined for six catches and 53 yards last week. The Packers seem to struggle on these plays and encountered difficulties when the Bears ran them last week.
MATCHUPS TO WATCH:

–Jets secondary vs. Packers WR Davante Adams. Last week, CBs Morris Claiborne and Trumaine Johnson encountered massive difficulties in stopping De’Andre Hopkins and this week they get another challenge in Adams, who is fourth in the league in receiving yards. The Jets have allowed a 100-yard receiver in nine games, including the last three.

–Jets LB Jordan Jenkins and DT Henry Anderson vs. Packers OL. Jenkins is among the more consistent Jets with 14 quarterback hits, seven sacks and six tackles for loss. He also has recovered a pair of fumbles. Anderson has been steady of late but is coming off a career-high three-sack game.
