The Raiders apparently will stay at the same Oakland venue for at least one more season.

Team owner Mark Davis confirmed to the San Jose Mercury Monday that the team is finalizing negotiations on another one-year lease with Oakland to remain at O.co Coliseum in 2016.

The Raiders did not seriously consider any other temporary sites to be the team’s home next season, according to the report.

The deal is not yet finalized, but unless something unforeseen occurs in the coming days, the Raiders will be playing the 2016 season at the same venue that was their home last season.

Regarding his recent trip to Las Vegas, Davis told the Mercury News he was impressed with the possibilities there but was not certain it was a viable NFL market at the moment.

What the Raiders will do after next season is still undecided, with possible options to move to San Diego or Inglewood, Calif., permanently, whichever site San Diego Chargers owner Dean Spanos does not select.

Davis again said he is not interested in moving the team, even temporarily, to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., current home of the San Francisco 49ers.

The Raiders’ attempt to move the team to Los Angeles next season was turned down by the NFL earlier this month, as the St. Louis Rams were the only team that gained approval to move to the Los Angeles area. The Chargers were the other team that made a bid to move its team to Los Angeles, and Davis told the Mercury News that the Raiders “were third in a three-team race.”

The Chargers worked out a an arrangement to share the Rams’ home in Inglewood if they do not come up with a new stadium plan in San Diego over the next year.
