Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was cited Thursday morning after he allegedly was traveling more than 100 mph while driving on Pittsburgh streets, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

The incident took place hours before the Steelers were scheduled to face the Carolina Panthers in a Thursday night game.

WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh reported that Brown, who was driving a black Porsche, was charged with reckless driving after speeding past an officer.

Ross Township police told the TV station that a police officer was looking for a bank robbery suspect when the vehicle driven by Brown sped past.

“We are aware of the situation, but we are still gathering information. We won’t have any further comment at this time,” the Steelers said in a statement.

Earlier this year, Brown was sued for allegedly throwing furniture off a 14th-floor balcony.

Brown has been selected to the first-team All-Pro squad each of the past four seasons, and he has 51 receptions for 594 yards and nine touchdowns through eight games this season. He had five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Panthers (6-2) have won three games in a row while Pittsburgh (5-2-1) has won four in a row heading into Thursday’s game.
