Colin Holba – Noteworthy – Transaction
LS Colin Holba was signed by the 49ers Thursday (Dec. 6). He had been waived by the Jaguars June 14. Holba (6-4, 248) was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round (213th overall) of the 2017 draft. He was waived by the Steelers on Sept. 2, 2017 and later signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 14. He went on to appear in the Jaguars final seven games of the regular season and three postseason contests.
Dekoda Watson – Important – Injury – Transaction
LB Dekoda Watson (calf) was placed on reserve/injured by the 49ers Thursday (Dec. 6). Watson (6-2, 245) appeared in four games this season and registered six tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble.
Pita Taumoepenu – Noteworthy – Transaction
LB Pita Taumoepenu was signed by the 49ers from their practice squad Thursday (Dec. 6). Taumoepenu (6-1, 245) was the second of two sixth-round draft picks (202nd overall) selected by the 49ers in the 2017 draft out of the University of Utah. After appearing in two games as a rookie, he was waived by the team on Sept. 1 and signed to the practice squad the following day.
Terrell Williams – Noteworthy – Transaction
S Terrell Williams Jr. was signed by the 49ers to their practice squad Thursday (Dec. 6). He had been waived from reserve/injured with an injury settlement by the 49ers Aug. 21. Williams Jr. (6-4, 212) originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Houston on April 30. He was placed on reserve/injured on Aug. 17.
