Bradley Pinion – Noteworthy
P Bradley Pinion earned NFL Special Teams Player of the Week honors after one of the best games of his career in the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders. Pinion punted three times for a 54.7 average, including a season-best 64-yarder that pinned the Raiders at their 6 in the second quarter.

C.J. Beathard – Important – Injury
QB C.J. Beathard (sore right thumb, wrist) will serve as QB Nick Mullens’ backup in the Week 10 game against the New York Giants, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Thursday. Beathard started five straight games (all losses) in the wake of QB Jimmy Garoppolo’s knee injury in Week 3 before sitting out the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders because of injuries sustained the week before. Shanahan said a decision on his starting quarterback would be a “week-to-week” thing.

Cassius Marsh – Noteworthy
DE Cassius Marsh recorded a career-best 2.5 sacks in the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders. The 49ers had eight sacks in the game.

Dekoda Watson – Noteworthy
LB/DE Dekoda Watson had a career-best 1.5 sacks in his 2018 season debut in the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders. Watson sustained a hamstring injury on the eve of the season opener and was placed on injured reserve, assuring he would miss at least the first eight games.

George Kittle – Noteworthy
TE George Kittle went over 100 yards for the second time this season with four catches for 108 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 win over the Raiders. He is just the second 49ers tight end to record four games with 90 or more receiving yards in a season since 1970. TE Vernon Davis was the other with five in 2009.

Greg Mabin – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB Greg Mabin was signed by the 49ers from their practice squad Thursday (Nov. 8). Mabin (6-2, 200) has appeared in six games (one start) this season with the 49ers and registered 10 tackles and one forced fumble. He was waived by the team on October 30 and signed to the team’s practice squad on November 1.

Jaquiski Tartt – Important – Injury
SS Jaquiski Tartt (strained shoulder) did not practice Thursday and was immediately labeled as questionable for the Week 10 game against the New York Giants. Tartt was injured in the Week 8 loss at Arizona and did not play in the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders.

Nick Mullens – Important
QB Nick Mullens has earned a second start, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Thursday, four days before the Week 10 matchup with the New York Giants. Mullens threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns in his NFL debut in a 34-3 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 9.

Pierre Garcon – Noteworthy
WR Pierre Garcon (bruised knee, strained shoulder) returned from a one-game absence to record his first touchdown reception of the season in the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders. The 24-yard hook-up with QB Nick Mullens was one of three catches for 56 yards in the win.

Reuben Foster – Important – Injury
LB Reuben Foster (strained hamstring) sat out Thursday’s practice as the 49ers began preparations for their Week 10 matchup with the New York Giants. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan sounded pessimistic on Thursday about Foster’s ability to play in the Monday game after having missed the Week 9 win over the Oakland Raiders.
