–The “My Cleats, My Cause” event, which allows players to wear specially designed cleats that recognize the charity of their choice, is coming up and the cleats have been arriving in the Titans locker room.

One Titans player, however, is not wearing cleats for his charity this season, but instead is wearing cleats that support a teammate’s cause.

Safety Kevin Byard will wear a pair of cleats sent to Adoree’ Jackson, because he said he likes the design and the cleats originally sent to Jackson for the cause were not the right size, but fit Byard.

“Adoree’ had somebody make some cleats for him, and he had some extra ones. They’re pretty ‘dope,’ man. They weren’t his size, so I think I’m going to go ahead and rock them as well.”

Jackson’s cause is breast cancer awareness, and Byard said he would probably make a donation to Jackson’s cause as well.

–Linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who served as a mentor to former Titans linebacker Avery Williamson, said that his friend is already talking trash when he makes his return to Nashville this weekend as a member of the New York Jets. Williamson is from Milan, Tenn., about two hours west of Nashville, played at the University of Kentucky, as did Woodyard.

“He’s already started talking trash I’ve got to get him some tickets. His family is going to be there. But that’s my brother. I’m going to be more excited to see his father and mother after the game than him,” Woodyard said of Williamson.

BY THE NUMBERS: 39 – The number of sacks the Titans have allowed this season through 11 games.
