–The Titans had three players make the Pro Bowl, one from each phase of the game.

The Titans offense is represented by left tackle Taylor Lewan, who was selected for the third straight season. Lewan said the honor isn’t lost on him, even though he has been selected twice before.

“It’s such a cool opportunity to get in a room with the NFL’s best. You sit there and you say to yourself, ‘I can’t believe I’m mentioned with these people that you see on TV all the time. And now I’m one of those guys.’ It’s just cool. I can’t act like it’s nothing to me, because it is something. It’s a really cool experience,” he said.

Lewan was joined by defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, who will be headed to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year. Casey leads the Titans with seven sacks, and has been a disruptive player on the line almost from the moment he joined the team as a third-round pick in 2011.

The third player from the Titans to make the list is punter Brett Kern, who heads back to Orlando after breaking through last season. Kern is averaging 45.5 yards per punt this season.

“I was excited. I think this year there was a little bit more of a logjam statistically, as compared to last year. There are three or four other guys who could have gotten the spot, but I’m just thankful to kind of come out of the pack and be able to go back-to-back and experience it for my family,” Kern said.

–Wide receiver Corey Davis has begun to blossom in his second season as a NFL player. Davis, the fifth overall pick in last year’s draft, leads the Titans with 57 catches through 14 games and 798 yards receiving. Though it is a long shot with only two games remaining in the regular season and the Titans running the ball so effectively with Derrick Henry, Davis said he would like to reach 1,000 yards for the season, if he can.

“It would mean a lot. That’s one of my goals,” Davis said. “I have a lot of team goals, but that was one I hope I can get. I’ve just got to keep working.”

BY THE NUMBERS: 4 – Number of sacks for now-injured cornerback Logan Ryan this season, which is actually third on the team.
