–Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan was back on the practice field on Wednesday in limited work as he tries to get clearance from the league’s concussion protocol.

Head coach Mike Vrabel has taken to having players who will be limited in work do drills against him during the open parts at the beginning of practice. Lewan was no exception, though he and Vrabel did have a fun exchange during the work.

“He told me I lost a step. I’m like, ‘No kidding. I’m 43 years old, if you can’t block me we’re in trouble against (Yannick) Ngakoue,'” Vrabel said of his conversation with Lewan.

–The Titans re-signed receiver Nick Williams, who was with them in camp but let go in the cut to 53 players. Williams sustained a hamstring injury in a preseason game in Pittsburgh on a special teams play. Once healthy, the Titans added him back to the roster on Monday.

“I was focused on doing as much rehab as possible, getting healthy and trying to stay in shape. I was running route as frequently as I could,” Williams said. “Any time you spend a decent amount of time with a team, it’s always an option, but you don’t really know what’s going to happen when they expose you to the waiver wire.”
