Alex Smith – Important – Injury
QB Alex Smith has been released from a hospital after undergoing multiple surgeries on his broken leg. Smith’s NFL future is in doubt as he attempts to recover from a spiral leg fracture that became infected after multiple surgeries. From a financial perspective, the Redskins would have to absorb $20.4 million worth of salary-cap space next season and $21.4 million in 2020 should the 34-year-old Smith be unable to play.

Fabian Moreau – Noteworthy
CB Fabian Moreau made his first career interception against Jacksonville on Sunday.

Josh Johnson – Noteworthy
QB Josh Johnson made his first start Sunday in seven years. Prior to throwing a pass in last week’s loss to the Giants, Johnson hadn’t thrown a pass since Dec. 11, 2011.Against the Jaguars’ defense, Johnson was 16 of 25 for 151 yards and one touchdown. He did not throw an interception.”I’ve always had belief in myself that I can do things like this,” Johnson told reporters after the game. “But I’ve never been one to talk about it, because talking does nothing. I’m into action. To have it go our way and be able to just have everything that’s been bottled up in my and let it out, it was a relief.”
