Chicago Bears defensive end Cornelius Washington was arrested Friday night for speeding and driving with a suspended license, according to Georgia TV station WDRW.
Washington was pulled over on Highway 80 in Georgia and taken to McDuffie County jail. Police released no other details.
Washington, a sixth-round draft choice in 2013 out of Georgia, played two games last season. He was suspended two games during his collegiate career after being arrested for DUI and speeding.
Washington is expected to compete for a backup defensive end spot this season.
