Jacksonville will land Green Bay Packers cornerback Davon House on Tuesday, giving the Jaguars another significant signing in free agency.
House received interest from the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets and Packers. Though not a starter in Green Bay, House did contribute to the nickel defense and special teams, playing 37 percent of defensive snaps.
In Jacksonville, he’ll be a starter at cornerback with an annual salary of $6.25 million, according to NFL Network.
With $62.3 million to manuever under the NFL salary cap, the Jaguars have done their share of winning in the offseason.
Among deals the team struck before Tuesday’s official start to free agency were long-term pacts with tight end Julius Thomas, defensive tackle Jared Odrick and right tackle Jermey Parnell.
