PLAYERS TO WATCH

–RB Kam Martin may have earned some more time after rushing for a season-high 116 yards last week against Liberty. Martin had given up most of his rushing load to redshirt freshman Jatarvious Whitlow, who still leads the team in rushing with 716 yards. Martin has rushed for 358 yards in nine games.

–WR Ryan Davis is Auburn’s leading receiver with 60 receptions for 508 yards. Auburn has had problems running the football at times this season and that definitely could be an issue against Alabama, which would then put a bigger load on the passing game. Davis and QB Jarrett Stidham are the program’s leading passing tandem.

–DE Nick Coe has been cleared to play after sitting out last week’s game with a wrist injury. Coe is Auburn’s leading pass rusher with 7.0 sacks among his 27 tackles. His ability to get pressure on Bama QB Tua Tagovailoa will be a key factor in Saturday’s matchup.

–LB Deshaun Davis lead the Tigers with 102 tackles with 12.5 for losses. The latter is second on the team to Coe’s 13.5. Davis also has been credited with breaking up two passes. He had seven tackles with a sack against Alabama last season.

SERIES HISTORY: Alabama leads the series with Auburn 45-35-1. Auburn won the last meeting 26-14 in 2017.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “We’re in a hostile environment, on the road. We’ve just got to go out and play our game.” — LB Deshaun Davis, on the Iron Bowl matchup with Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
