There will be no baseball Thursday at Chicago’s Guaranteed Rate Field or at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, with the White Sox and Cardinals pushing their home openers to Friday due to weather concerns.

The White Sox and Seattle Mariners are now scheduled for a 2:10 p.m. ET first pitch, while the Cardinals and San Diego Padres will get underway at 4:15 p.m. ET.

Heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are expected in both cities on Thursday, while Friday’s forecast is dry with unseasonably warm temperatures in the 50s in Chicago and the 60s in St. Louis.

Both teams originally had off days scheduled on Friday.
