The American Athletic Conference championship, and a College Football Playoff New Year’s Six bowl invitation, were on the line in Memphis. The Cincinnati Bearcats, who had lost to the home-standing Tigers a week earlier, led 23-20 with just 1:14 remaining in the game.

But, Memphis had driven 69 yards in nine plays and had the ball on the Cincinnati 6-yard line. That’s where running back Antonio Gibson made the play of the year for the Tigers.

The senior from Stockbridge, Ga., came in motion, caught a screen pass from quarterback Brady White and followed three blockers into the end zone for the score.

The win sends the Tigers to face Penn State in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium on December 28 in Dallas.

Gibson’s game-winning reception is this week’s U.S. Farm Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”

In addition to that pass play, both players had an outstanding game against Cincinnati.

Gibson ran for 135 yards and a touchdown, averaging over 10 yards per carry. He caught six passes for 32 yards, including the last-minute score.

White threw for 253 yards and a touchdown, while also running for another score.

Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
