Two Tulsa football players have been quarantined after possible exposure to the coronavirus, the Tulsa World reported Wednesday.

The precautionary measure was taken because one of the two unidentified roommates is related to an Oklahoma woman who has been diagnosed with the virus.

The relative, a Tulsa County woman in her 20s, recently returned from a trip to Italy. Although the player had not been in direct contact with her, he “possibly has been around other family members who have been around her,” the newspaper said.

The university has canceled or postponed all on-campus athletic events for the rest of this week, including a spring football practice scheduled for Thursday.
