Quarterback Anthony Brown is leaving Boston College as a graduate transfer, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

Brown started 28 games over the last three seasons, completing 54.9 percent of his passes for 4,738 yards with 40 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He also rushed for four touchdowns and caught three touchdown passes.

Brown’s streak of 18 straight starts ended when he suffered a season-ending knee injury during a 41-39 loss at Louisville on Oct. 5. His 2017 campaign also ended with a knee injury.

His decision to enter the NCAA transfer database comes a week after Boston College fired coach Steve Addazio. The Eagles finished the regular season 6-6, including 4-4 in the ACC, and are scheduled to play Cincinnati in the Birmingham Bowl on Jan. 2.
