Boston College running back A.J. Dillon is leaving school early to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

The junior is already the Eagles’ all-time leading rusher with 4,382 yards over three seasons.

“At this point in my career, I’ve done everything I set out to do,” Dillon told Yahoo Sports. “I had a chance after the Pitt game to talk with my family. We came to the conclusion, it’s time to take the next step.”

Dillon rushed for 1,589 yards and 14 touchdowns as a 2017 freshman and ran for 1,108 yards and 10 TDs in 2018. He finished fourth in the nation with a career-high 1,685 yards and 14 scores this season.

Dillon said he will not participate in Boston College’s Jan. 2 game against Cincinnati in the Birmingham Bowl.
