PLAYERS TO WATCH

–RB AJ Dillon, a preseason All-American, has been out the last 2 1/2 games with an ankle injury and there was no word on whether or not he’ll be ready for Friday night’s game against Miami. Obviously, the bye week came at a good time for Dillon and the Eagles, who have continued to produce on the ground even without him.

–QB Anthony Brown, who became an instant star with five touchdown passes at Wake Forest, has struggled since but was 16-of-22 for 179 yards and a touchdown in the win over Louisville. That earned him ACC quarterback of the week honors.

–DE Zach Allen had another big game in the win over the Cardinals and was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week. He also blocked an extra point in the victory.

–RB Ben Glines, a redshirt sophomore moved from wide receiver, ran for 120 yards on 23 carries in the win over Temple — and then went for 107 yards on 17 carries in the win over Louisville.

–DE Wyatt Ray, who happens to be Nat King Cole’s grandson and Natalie Cole’s nephew, had a career game at Wake Forest earlier in the season but then recorded three sacks against Louisville. He has 16 career sacks moved him into 10th place on BC’s all-time sack list.

SERIES HISTORY: Miami leads Boston College 24-5, but BC has won two of the last three — after Miami won 15 in a row in the series. This is the first meeting between the former Big East foes since 2012.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “The first thing we’re going to do right now is give them the biggest chunk of time I’ve ever given a team off in the bye week. They have a heavy academic load right now. A lot of guys have been burning the oil at night on their studies. So, I just feel like we need to get ahead on that right now. I want our bodies to get rested. We are a very physical team and we practice very physically, OK? So, I’m going to utilize this week, I’m going to give them time off.” — Coach Steve Addazio heading into the bye week.
