Duke wide receiver Jake Bobo will be out indefinitely after he suffered a fractured right clavicle during Thursday’s practice, the school announced Friday.

Bobo, a sophomore who was expected to be a starter this season, underwent surgery on Friday.

Playing in all 13 games last season, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Bobo made 10 catches for 167 yards and one touchdown, which came in the Blue Devils’ 56-27 victory over Temple in the Independence Bowl in December.

Duke will face Alabama in the season opener on Aug. 31 in Atlanta.
