Florida State quarterback Tate Rodemaker, who replaced injured star Jordan Travis, will enter the transfer portal and not play against Georgia in the Orange Bowl, according to multiple media reports Monday.

The news was first reported by 247Sports and later by ESPN.

Rodemaker had entered the Nov. 18 game against North Alabama when Travis went out with a season-ending leg injury. The Seminoles won 58-13, and Rodemaker started the following week in a 25-14 victory over rival Florida.

However, Rodemaker suffered a concussion and sat out the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game against Louisville. Third-string QB Brock Glenn, a freshman, played instead and the Seminoles won 16-6 to finish 13-0 but were left out of the four-team College Football Playoff.

Rodemaker, a redshirt junior, played in nine games, completing 32 of 56 passes (57.14 percent) for 510 yards and five touchdowns.

Florida State has pursued other quarterbacks in the transfer portal and recently hosted former Washington State QB Cam Ward and Oregon State transfer DJ Uiagalelei, though neither has made a commitment.

The No. 4 Seminoles will be without several standouts against No. 6 Georgia (12-1) on Saturday in Miami Gardens, Fla. Linebacker DJ Lundy entered the transfer portal among others, including redshirt freshman quarterback AJ Duffy. Running back Trey Benson, wide receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman, tight end Jaheim Bell, safety Akeem Dent and defensive linemen Jared Verse and Fabien Lovett have opted out of the game to declare for the NFL draft.
