Victor Alexander – Noteworthy
Former Georgia Tech linebacker Victor Alexander had been planning for his NFL pro day for awhile. Last season, a few NFL scouts, including one from the Falcons, asked him if he could play fullback and work on some special-teams assignments.”I’ve been working at fullback and doing special-team things in the offseason to try to get prepared for (pro day) as well as trying to get my special-teams film together to send out to them as well,” Alexander said Tuesday.

Alexander, who played in 47 games and started 17 games over his career at Tech, was fine with the move. “It was pretty easy,” Alexander said. “I felt like I had some running back and fullback abilities from in my past life in high school and Pop Warner and stuff like that. I had to awaken those skills. “I feel like it was pretty simple. It came back pretty naturally.” Alexander was listed at 5-10 and 237 pounds while playing at Tech. He led the team with 60 tackles as a junior. – Atlanta Journal Constitution

Sixteen former Georgia Tech football student-athletes auditioned in front of representatives from 26 professional football organizations as part of Tech’s annual Pro Day on Tuesday at the John and Mary Brock Indoor Practice Facility and Rose Bowl Field. The 16 Yellow Jackets to participate included: LB/FB Victor Alexander, DL Desmond Branch, OL Will Bryan, DL Kyle Cerge-Henderson, RB J.J. TaQuon Marshall – Noteworthy
Former Harris County standout TaQuon Marshall is switching it up this week at Georgia Tech’s pro day. Marshall served as the starting quarterback for Tech throughout the last two years. Today he is making the transition back to wide receiver. Marshall has some experience as a wide out having played there his sophomore season at Harris County high school where he caught 32 passes for 367 yards (11.5 yards per catch) in 13 games. He talks on why he ultimately made the decision to switch saying, “Going into the next level I didn’t really see myself playing quarterback. I knew I was very versatile, so I could see myself doing a lot more than just being up under center or being in the gun, so I thought I would just utilize my talent and utilize my athleticism and be able to do more than just quarterback and be able to play receiver, be on special teams, everything like that, so I think it was kind of the thought going into it and I think it’s going to work in my favor.” – WLTZ 38 NBC
