PLAYERS TO WATCH

–WR Jalen Camp had two receptions for 70 yards. Tech’s first play of the game was a 33-yarder that Camp caught to put the Yellow Jackets in Bowling Green territory and push aside any momentum the Falcons may have gained on their opening scoring drive. Camp added a 27-yarder later in the game. “I was pretty shocked because normally we go into a running play,” Camp said. “I took it as an opportunity to run my route and make my play.”

–RB Jordan Mason got the start at B-back and rushed seven times for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Mason has 365 yards rushing, making him the most productive running back. He split time with Jerry Howard, who ran for 29 yards and one touchdown. The 100 combined yards won’t make you forget KirVonte Benson, but it helps.

–OLB Victor Alexander got his first sack of the season and it was a beauty. He nailed QB Jarret Doege from behind and popped the ball loose. It was recovered by Antwan Owens, who scooped it up and ran at least 10 yards with a defender on his back. The Yellow Jackets scored three plays later. It was a good day for Alexander, who added a sack and a hurry to his stats.

–DE Anree Saint-Amour hadn’t scored a touchdown since he was a running back in middle school. The streak ended on Saturday. With Bowling Green pinned inside their own 20, the Tech pressure forced Bowling Green QB Jarret Doege to retreat. He fired a pass that was tipped toward the goal by Desmond Branch. Saint-Amour was parked at the 3, waiting for the ball to come down. He caught it and stepped three yards into the end zone for an unlikely pick-six. He finished with three tackles, one sack, one hurry and 2.5 tackles for loss.
