PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Ryan Finley has thrown for a league-leading 296.2 yards per game. He has tossed 10 touchdown passes with five interceptions. He’s coming off a game at Clemson when he was without a touchdown pass and threw two interceptions.

–WR Jakobi Meyers is averaging an ACC-leading 7.6 receptions per game. He had a team-high eight catches against Clemson.

–LB Germaine Pratt has continued to be one of the most productive players on the N.C. State defense. He has been lauded for his increased leadership role this season. It helps that he leads the ACC with 9.5 tackles per game.

–RB Reggie Gallaspy scored on a touchdown last year against Syracuse. He has been most valuable in short-yardage situations this season, though he could return to his role as the primary ball carrier against Syracuse depending on the injury status of RB Ricky Person. Gallaspy posted a team-high 59 rushing yards at Clemson.

SERIES HISTORY: N.C. State leads Syracuse 10-1, including four consecutive victories.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “I thought we were going to play a heck of a game and we didn’t. It just didn’t go our way.” — Coach Dave Doeren, whose team, for the fourth year in a row, plays on the road in its next game following a loss to Clemson.
