PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Ryan Finley has thrown for a league-leading 324.2 yards per game. He has tossed 10 touchdown passes with three interceptions. Yet across his three seasons with the Wolfpack, three of his 15 thrown interceptions have come in two previous games against Boston College.

–WR Kelvin Harmon continues to be a downfield threat for N.C. State. He’s on pace for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, averaging 104.6 receiving yards per game.

–LB Germaine Pratt has a knack for being around the ball. His team-leading total for tackles at 49 stops is 20 more than the next-highest figure on the team.

–RB Ricky Person has become the most dynamic player out of the backfield because of his difference-making speed. He’s averaging 68.3 rushing yards per game, but the freshman is still waiting for his first collegiate touchdown.

SERIES HISTORY: Clemson leads N.C. State 57-28-1, winning the past six meetings.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “It’s what you want in your program. When you lose your veteran guys, you want the next line of veterans waiting their turn that have game reps, and we had that at a lot of the positions.” — Coach Dave Doeren on restocking on defense this season, though the team’s top three tacklers are returnees from last season.
