Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi signed a two-year extension through the 2021 campaign, the school announced on Thursday.
Narduzzi originally signed a five-year deal when hired. His first team is 8-4 prior to its Military Bowl contest against Navy on Dec. 28.
“The University of Pittsburgh is an incredible place with incredible people,” Narduzzi said in a statement. “My family and I plan to make Pittsburgh our home for a very long time and we’re glad the leadership at Pitt feels the same way. It is an honor to serve as Pitt’s head football coach and I’m continuously energized by what we can, and will, accomplish here.”
Narduzzi’s first season included a 6-2 record in ACC play despite losing star running back James Conner to an early season knee injury.
