Virginia preseason All-America cornerback Bryce Hall injured his lower left leg in the second quarter of the 20th-ranked Cavaliers’ 17-9 loss to Miami on Friday night.
Hall, who was making his 39th straight start, was carted off the field with an air cast around his leg. He had his leg rolled up while blocking on a punt return.
Players from both teams came over to wish him well as he left the field. ESPN announced on the broadcast that it would not replay the injury after broadcasting an initial angle.
