KEY MATCHUP: Wake Forest running backs vs. Duke linebackers. Wake Forest RB Cade Carney had his only three-touchdown game two years ago at Duke, where he was playing in his second career game. He has eclipsed his 108 rushing yards from that day only twice. If RB Matt Colburn is available, that would be a notable one-two punch for the Demon Deacons’ rushing attack.

Duke is potentially a bit thin at the linebacker spot because of injuries. The Blue Devils might have to call upon junior LB Koby Quansah and redshirt sophomore LB Brandon Hill for extensive playing time and their durability could be worth monitoring as they have a total of five career starts.

DRAFT SLANT

–C Ryan Anderson has started 40 consecutive games. He’s capable of shifting to guard or tackle if that’s what the Demon Deacons need. His stock began to rise last year as the Demon Deacons racked up record yardage totals and now scouts will have a chance to zero in on him to see what he’s doing so well on a regular basis.

ROSTER REPORT

–RB Matt Colburn, who had been the team’s leading rusher after the team’s first 10 games, missed the Pittsburgh game with an injury. Coach Dave Clawson said it’s possible that Colburn will be available for the Duke game.

–WR Scotty Washington, with one catch for 10 yards, eclipsed a milestone in the last game. The junior has 1,002 career receiving yards on 71 receptions.

–DB Amari Henderson missed the Pittsburgh game and so his status for the regular-season finale appears in doubt.
