PLAYERS TO WATCH

–DB Cameron Glenn has three consecutive games with double-digit tackle totals and he’s second on the team with 65 total tackles. Last year, he made 11 stops in the game with North Carolina State. He needs to average 11 tackles for each of the final three regular-season games to guarantee reaching last year’s 98-tackle total.

–WR Greg Dortch has compiled 90 or more receiving yards in six of nine games this season. He has six touchdown receptions. This matchup with N.C. State will be his first against an in-state ACC opponent because the sophomore missed such matchups last year with an injury.

–RB Cade Carney has a team-high six touchdown runs this season. Until the 2-yard scoring play against Syracuse, the previous five were from 1 yard out. A junior, he didn’t play in his first two seasons against N.C. State because of injuries.

–K Nick Sciba extended his school record for points by a true freshman. He has 68, having set the record in the eighth game before adding six more in the ninth game.

SERIES HISTORY: N.C. State leads Wake Forest 66-39-6, though Wake Forest pulled a home upset of a nationally ranked Wolfpack team last year.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “Three games left, it’s how bad do you want it?” — RB Matt Colburn, a senior who needs the Demon Deacons to win at least two of their final three games (at N.C. State, vs. Pittsburgh, at Duke) in order to extend his career with a bowl game.
