Former Maryland quarterback Kasim Hill has transferred to Tennessee as a walk-on.

Hill will be required to sit out the 2019 season per NCAA regulations.

A Washington, D.C., product, Hill was a four-star recruit and the 10th-ranked pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2017, according to the 247Sports composite. He sustained knee injuries in each of his two seasons with the Terrapins.

He appeared in 13 games for Maryland, completing 102 passes for 1,313 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Junior Jarrett Guarantano returns as the starter for the Volunteers, backed up by redshirt freshman J.T. Shrout and freshman Brian Maurer.

Harrison Bailey, the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2020, is committed to Tennessee.
